When an angpaw-inspired gift idea struck me, it was already January, and I honestly felt a little rushed to get this new gift produced. I turned to ChatGPT, gave it some powerful prompts, and quickly received a great list of 12 monthly anchors. It seemed ready to be dropped straight into my design template and sent for production. Well, that's what I thought. I was excited and impressed by how quickly it all came together. But thanks to my inner man, I later felt moved to review it deeply before sending it to our production factory — and I am still so glad I did. Because at first glance, it sounded right. Faith-filled. Very Christian. In some ways, even smarter than I might have articulated certain points myself. But by the second and third round of review, it began to dawn on me that while it carried a badge of faith on the outside, something inside was missing. The more I discerned, the more I saw that it was simply a collection of Christian-sounding points packaged together. There was no clear spiritual formation journey from Month 1 to Month 12. And I felt deeply convicted. That was not what I aspired to create when I had the idea. Just because I was not quite well during that season of life, and not at my best, did not mean I should allow convenience and tools to take over an important accountability of Scripture-inspired gift-making that I ought to steward worthily. So I scrapped every draft and started again from scratch. I am not against using tools for better efficiency. But no amount of tools or gathered data can give birth to something only a truly lived faith can bear fruit to. What you see now in our Anchor Cards Pack is a reverently discerned and carefully thought-through 12-month journey — one designed for someone to encounter year after year, bearing real spiritual fruit through everyday life. What humbled me most was what happened after the cards were produced. I thought, sure, I authored them and I knew it was a meaningful work that can bless others, yet I did not expect it would minister back to me personally. Then as certain things unfolded throughout February, one day my eyes were opened to realise it was all about Month 1's anchor — repeated through different circumstances to speak life into me again and again, so that what I had authored from a lived faith was now being lived again, taking me through a new level of faith. How great is the grace of our God. Then March came, and He did the same with Month 2's anchor. I was so greatly ministered to that I finally got myself a pack of the Anchor Cards, and today the first card sits behind my phone case, still ministering to me through Month 2 and Month 3's anchors. I cannot recommend it enough to anyone hungry to encounter God in day-to-day life.
